Embracing The New 2009 Acura TSX: Change Can be Good

By Aidan Busbee

Acura tends to come out with technologically advanced cars that offer both performance and luxury. And the 2009 TSX is no exception. The new model offers a lot of extra for the consumer looking for luxury in an entry level sedan.

This is a basic redo of the European Honda Accord; you might call the TSX the Euro Honda Accord with a fabulous facelift! It's full of luxury content to fill the expectations of shoppers in the entry level sport luxury sedan segment. The theory of building the TSX off of the current European Honda Accord model isn't new; it's been successful in the past. The TSX's introduction was met with almost instantaneous popularity; its sporty feel and adept handling made it very well liked amongst its competition.

The 2009 TSX has less of a sporty look, but more of the luxury consumers are looking for in this segment. The new TSX gives cause for celebration with its increased levels of comfort, refinement and luxury throughout the car in a wide variety of features and options.

The Acura TSX 2009 goes from 0 to 60 mph in just over 7 seconds with an engine that produces power across a broader rpm segment than previous TSX models. The specifications also leave the 2009 TSX as one of the cleanest cars in its class with an ultra low emission vehicle rating. It also offers a great advantage at the gas pump with 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

The already great handling is improved with the new model. The TSX for 2009 features independent double wishbones front and rear; maintaining its good handling balance (an admirable engineering feat considering the 60/40 front to rear weight distribution).

The new 2009 offers a lot more for those looking to indulge in a bit of luxury without losing the most popular aspects of previous models. For more information visit your nearest Acura dealer and test drive one today!
